      [Beans]; [1645.1].
    • Notes:Known as the Shôhô world map; the inscription says "published at Nagasaki harbour in the Hinoto-Tori or Teiyû year of the Shōhō era," and this appears on an accompanying sheet that depicts 40 types of people, including Japanese. This collection, however, lacks this sheet.
An elliptical map of the world designed to hang with east at the top, with two ships flanking the top and bottom curves; the title and two at the bottom is composed of four large characters standing at the top.
This map is also known as the Shôhô Teiyû imitation of the 1645 edition, as there was no such year during the Shôhô era.
