  This is the oldest extant printed itinerary map of Japan.

  The date ca. Shôhô 3 (ca. 1654) has been given because Matsudaira Settsunokami (Sadayoshi), daimyô of Kuwana, Ise province, was in office from 1652 to 1657 and Nishio Tagonokami (Tadaakira), daimyô of Tanaka, Suruga province, was in office from 1649 to 1654.
