• Summary:Retrospective edition on abstract painter Lecuona (b. Argentina 1956) examining more than 30 years of his artistic production of large format paintings characteristic for its deconstructive vision and geometric elements. Lecuona's started his career during the long years of military repression, war, exile and censorship in Argentina, a historic period in the 1980's that created conflicting feelings in the local art circles, on one side the endless energy of an art oriented towards reconstruction and on the other, a certain tended vision towards Post-Modernism. " (Lecuona's) entire oeuvre may be considered radically subjective, as if it sprung from the anguish of men seeking one another in significations, where plurality and the existence of different pictorial wavelengths are possible"-- p.160. The artist later evolved adding human forms into his artwork in the 1990's.
