Summary:Brightly hand coloured copperplate engraving depicting the lower half of North America and South America, with a partial view of Australia. Shows one ship sailing westward in the Atlantic, one ship sailing eastward in the Pacific.

Map probably based on a map by Abraham Ortelius, also called 'Americae Sive Novi Orbis Nova Descriptio." The general outline of map is similar, but the cartouche is less ornate and the notes, details, and illustrations differ significantly.
