The Lumsdens' books with "Toy Book Manufactory" in the imprint seem to have been published between 1799 and about 1805 (see S. Roscoe's James Lumsden & Son of Glasgow).
Title page and frontispiece make up a gathering of two leaves; remainder of leaves sewn in one gathering. Leaves and plates before the fold are signed A-C as a guide to folding and insertion. Plates included in pagination.
