Summary:Each day, Americans use over 500,000,000 plastic straws. They aren't recycled, and Ocean Conservancy's 2014 list ranked them as the number five most found item - adding to the estimated 8.5 metric tons of plastic debris entering oceans annually. The film illustrates how individuals, groups and business owners around the globe are reducing plastic straw use through education, outreach, policy development and utilization of non-plastic alternatives.
