Summary:"A commemorative book celebrating the Canada C3 voyage of the Polar Prince from Toronto to Victoria through the Northwest Passage in the summer and fall of 2017. A Canada 150 signature project organized by Students on Ice (SOI) with founder and expedition leader Geoff Green. New participants from across the country came on board at each of the 15 legs,as the last group departed. Indigenous and non-Indigenous, elders and youth, scientists, educators, artists, athletes, veterans, business leaders, chefs, politicians, Canadians with disabilities, newcomers to Canada, and more. A microcosm of Canada's astounding diversity would join the expedition. And afterwards, they would serve as ambassadors, sharing their experiences with the country and the world. This book is a summation of that experience with contributions from many participants and staff. Heavily illustrated through stunning photography of all three coastlines, with essays, poems, artwork, scientific prose and experiential anecdotes."-- Provided by publisher.
