    • Summary:RBSC's holdings of the Korean Canadian Heritage Archive consist of UBC's General Collection, which was one of the two sub-collections of UBC's portion of the KCHA. The creators of this collection divided the collection into nine series based on the physical formats of the materials. The series are as follows: Ephemera, Books, Grey Literature, Multimedia, Correspondence, Manuscripts, Newspaper Clippings, Serials, and Personal Documents.
    • Biography/history note:The Korean-Canadian Heritage Archives (KCHA) project was a collaborative project of the University of Toronto (U of T) Cheng Yu Tung East Asian Library and the University of British Columbia (UBC) Asian Library that aimed to preserve the history of the Korean-Canadian community's activities and its literary and artistic works. The primary goal of the project was to create a comprehensive database of the 65-year-long culture and history of the Korean-Canadian community. The secondary goals were to develop and strengthen the relationship among Korean communities in different regions and different generations, and to provide a wealth of information about the Korean-Canadian community to Korean Canadians, Koreans, and non Korean Canadians. The aim of this project was to better document the Korean experience in Canada by physically collocating materials into one location, making the physical items accessible to the public, and digitizing the materials in order to create a nation-wide online searchable database of materials relating to Korean-Canadian culture and history. The project aimed to collect not only catalogued material, but also aimed to acquire primary sources relating to Korean Canadians that are archival in nature. The scope of the project included any materials related to or created by Korean Canadians.
